Talented Art Program Exhibition Over 100 works of art on display online The Teachers in the program are Mellie Bodker, K. Faulkenberry and Sharon Sledge. They travel through out the parish to schools from Kentwood, Spring Creek, Loranger, Sumner, Independence, Hammond and Ponchatoula. Featured in the Arts Center's window is Kitty Faulkenberry's class at Ponchatoula High. Twelve 4X4 foot paintings of dogs and cats were developed from photographs taken at the animal shelter. The Brown Foundation funded this service project. The paintings will be installed at the animal Shelter to brighten the space above the animal cages. With subject matter as whimsical as mermaids to insightful self-portraits and everything in-between. Techniques & Mediums are just as diverse and rang from acrylic painting to scratchboard to assemblage.
